Woohoo!  Talk about lessening the friction!  That's a great idea, just above my abilities or wallet to have done by a machinist.

I have had to use precision benchtop drills to make the holes as straight as possible.

At the moment I have put it on the prototype of my work table and I have to say that the gear change pedal is very smooth and is not hard and somewhat sticky due to friction with the interior of the bronze circle that the manufacturer places on the gear change pedal.

    Digital :

That is a very slick idea !!

Friendly suggestion :  Add a seal on wach side to keep the dirt & water out - I know you could do that !!  But you might have to add some material on each side to mount the seals.  But on the other hand, the added friction of the seals may be a problem ?  What do you think  ??

Possibly a silicone lube infused thin felt washer?

Everything is acceptable and the more protected it is, the better. Therefore, I will study if it can be covered as you suggest. Against dirt and water.

At the moment, as I say, I have placed it on the workbench stand to check how smooth it may be mounted on the gear shift pedal shaft.

Since I am waiting for a set of plastic protectors for the cardan joint from the United States, then since I have to disassemble that area on the motorcycle, I will put into practice the gear change pedal of the modified pedal.

I took a 11.9mm steel bar and cut a 22mm long piece, I drilled an 8mm internal hole in the steel bar to go through the screw that is attached to the motorcycle frame.

However, the way the needle bearings inserted grease and washer have entered, there is little room left for water or dirt to enter.

Do you happen to have a bearing number digital?  Easy to find like bearings if a number can be had.  May be worth doing as far as I'm concerned. :028:

Yeah sure, I'll look it up later.

I couldn't find a one-piece 17mm needle bearing, so I fitted two 10mm needle bearings, total 20mm. The ideal thing to do this type of test is to have a spare gear change pedal, in case something goes wrong, there is always a good one. Luckily I have three, including the one in my TTSE.
