Many times it is very difficult to know where a noise may come from, even when close to our motorcycles. So from a distance, it's more difficult to tell what type and where that noise might be coming from.

It helps a lot to take a video or just an audio file to get a good idea of what that noise is about. So under the experience of each one, we contribute our grain of sand.

Once disassembled, from what I could see, it is a point where it needs to be lubricated and it lacked that grease lubrication, and that caused dry friction until it stopped working, breaking everything in its path by friction.

The alternator incorporates a decoupler mounted on the drive gear, which disengages the alternator from the engine under certain conditions. This removes the damping load from the alternator that would otherwise cause premature wear or damage to various alternator components.
