Horn replacement is my favorite mods 
(Right after LED-ing all around)

Did you know you can fit an almost foot long trumpet under the skin of a TTSE? See my picture. (After killing 2 horns and one compressor in the radiator heat I placed the compressor this time under the seat, the trumpet is metal) My iPhone app says 115db in 5ft distance, should be enough to make the stoopin ones look up from the phone and pay some attention to traffic.

  fluxxcomp, exactly the position I placed my twin horns. The only difference was I have them facing down. Reduces the chance of water build-up in the trumpet. As regards the compressor, after approximately 50,000 kilometres I haven't had an issue with it where I have it. Gets a lot of cooling air onto it through the pipe protecting screen.
  I must say I do like your extended trumpet, should wake-up a few of the sleeping dumb heads.

I have puzzled back and forth (and used the smaller of the 2 trumpets I got) and came up with this position since the funnel is wider than the fairing allows.
Hackle, I have not left California with the bike - it has not seen rain under me :-)

 How lucky you are fluxxcomp, no rain. I've tipped out about 25 mil. [1 inch in the old scale] out of my rain gauge for about 3 of the last 7 days, and it's supposed to be summer next week. We wait and pray. Cheers.
