No, it should, since if a TPMS sensor on one of the wheels runs out of battery, breaks down or for any other reason, the instrument panel will show the data of the TPMS sensor in good condition. In addition, in the previous test that I put the TPMS sensor tied with two zip ties to the ABS ring, it did show data on the dashboard and on the laptop.

What I don't know is if the air inflation valve should be facing outwards, I can also try to code the wheel as rear.

But if the TPMS sensor quits,   the ABS pulser ring is still rotating and sending a signal to the ECM.  We don't know the exact algorthim that is being used.  Try spinning the other pulser ring and see what happens ..... Of course both ABS pulser rings should be rotating at slightly different speeds ( based on the difference between the front & rear diameters ) and the number of slots in each pulser ring ( as well as how the algorithm is written ).  A lot of unkowns to consider.

But you can calculate the rotation speed of each wheel for an assumed road speed.

It should work fine with only one wheel rotating. I get the same effect when spinning either wheel by hand to wake the front or rear TPMS sensor with my bike on its centre stand.

The CAN-bus TPMS data should be constantly streaming from the immobiliser as soon as the ignition is switched on regardless of tyre pressures. This can easily be checked by monitoring the raw data using a PC and watching for a change in pressure, temperature and status byte data.

OK, the data appears on the CAN-BUS,  but will the TPMS pressures also be displayed ?  That's what I was referring to.

I have the two ABS rings working and it gives the correct speed, both on the digital speedometer and the analog needle speedometer. If the ABS rings stop working, neither the kilometers nor the speed of the vehicle add up.

As I said yesterday, something escapes me and I will have to do some test or other...

Yes, they should if TPMS has been enabled for display on the dash / instruments.

Just this afternoon, I've been playing around with the little wheel for a while and I haven't been able to get it to show data on the instrument panel.

So then I took a spare Trophy wheel and spun it for a long period of time and still couldn't get it to show any data on the instrument panel.

I think that the one that does not show data on the instrument panel. It may be because the TPMS sensor should be inside the tire and next to the ABS ring.
