That doesn't seem right.
According to Page 37 of the Owners Handbook :
By default the last selected Trip Computer (TRIP 1 or TRIP 2)
will be displayed when the ignition is turned on.
I just checked for you on my Trophy :
If TRIP 1 is displayed on the Instrument Panel when I turn the Ignition OFF,
TRIP 1 is displayed when the Ignition is turned ON, and also when the engine is started.
If TRIP 2 is displayed on the Instrument Panel when I turn the Ignition OFF,
TRIP 2 is displayed when the Ignition is turned ON, and also when the engine is started.
To switch between TRIP 1 and TRIP 2 - briefly press the Select ( "
i" ) button.
If you have TRIP 2 selected, try switching to TRIP 1 ( "
i" ) button,
turn the Ignition OFF, wait 30 seconds, then turn the Ignition back ON and see if TRIP 1 is still displayed.
If it is, switch to TRIP 2 and turn the Ignition OFF, wait 30 seconds and turn it back ON.
It should not be possible to have TRIP and TRIP 2 set with exactly the same Items
in either the Upper or Lower dispaly lines.
If the issue persists, you could try going into the Menu
and changing one or both of the displayed Items for TRIP 2
and see if this makes any difference :
Press and hold the "
i" button to enter the SETTINGS Menu
Scroll to TRIP SETUP and press the "
i" button
Scroll to TRIP 2 ITEMS and press the "
i" button
At the TRIP 2 ITEMS "UPPER" screen, use the Scroll Button
to change to a different Item, then press the "
i" button to save.
The display will change to allow selection the Item for the Lower display line
so you can either change this, or press the "
i" button to leave it as is,
and Exit the Menu.
Scroll to EXIT and press the "
i" button to exit the SETTINGS Menu.
Try again and see if it's made any difference.
If not then one more "last resort" thing to try, is to switch the Ignition OFF,
leave it for 30 seconds then disconnect the Main Battery
and leave it disconnected for 10 minutes before reconnecting.
Some Members have reported that doing this can resolve some strange electrical glitches !
Cheers
