    Pauli363 :

Assuming the MOT is conducted to the same standard on your side of water as it is on mine,
I have attached a copy of the Motorcycle MOT Checklist - downloaded from the .GOV website today ....

    Cheers  :821:

I think our tests are done slightly differently.  The first major differences are that NI vehicles only get their first test at 4 years.
The second major difference is that we have dedicated MOT test centres run by the DVNI, local garages cannot carry out an MOT.

That MOT list you listed looks like a manually filled in form?  Ours is computerised.

From the list I'll indicate what was not done:

    no check on headbearings
only spun front wheel, but never shook side to side to check bearings, and never checked the back wheel at all.
only had a cursory eyeball around the bike, but never handled the exhaust, final drive, frame, footrests, nor checked the fuel system.
    Never checked wheel alignment.
I never got off the bike and the examiner never got on it.

Did check brakes on rolling road, lights, horn and indicators.

All booted up with the new Road 6 GTs.  Also a new set of EBC rear pads.

That pretty much completes my bike prep for the May start to my Alpine trip.  Just need to scrub these tyres in a bit and bar any last minute issues, ready to go... :046:
