Either way, they will be Nissin, not Triumph or Yamaha parts.  They just won't come with a Triumph part number in a Triumph package.

    STJIM,
I will be happy if I can get Nissin parts, as they will be cheaper than Triumph, won't be paying for Triumph packaging, adds at least 20% to the cost of parts.  :001:

    Just for general info :

Triumph wants only about half of what Yamaha wants for caliper pistons and Triumph includes the seals also.   And apparently there are two different sized pistons in the calipers since 2 different PN's are listed.

I couldn't find a listing for S.S. pistons for either the Triumph or Yamaha.   I did find a company that sells S.S. psitons listed by diameter.  If you know / measure the Triumph caliper piston diameter,  you might be able to find some S.S. pistons that will fit.

    Hi STJIM,

When I had my early Sprint and then a 1050 Tiger I used a company called Sprint Manufacturing, they can supply nearly all early Triumph parts, including replacement stainless steel components like brake pistons.

They haven't started doing many parts for our Trophy yet, up to now I know they stock replacement wishbone bearings, spacers and seals as a kit, at a reasonable price, not sure if it's SS.

They also stock individual SS caliper pistons of different sizes, so I will have to dig out my measuring stick and measure the pistons on my bike, then see what Sprint Manufacturing have in stock.

I have bought a number of parts from them over the years, and always had great service from them, even to the point of getting a phone call to ask if I knew that the rocker cover gasket on my Sprint was reusable, and did I want the one I had ordered, they were happy to loose a £25 order by asking, for me that made them the go to company for spares.

Will measure the pistons in a day or so, and post the results.   :028:

Sprint Manufacturing does show the complete drag link service kit in stock.  Bearings, hardened spacers, and seals, at 69.96 GBP.  Nothing on caliper pistons yet, just the seal kit for the Trophy 1215 and Tiger Explorer.
