That is scary for a relatively low mileage bike - not something I'm looking forward to happening.

Alternatively to a side car rig,  you could consider a CanAm Spyder.  When i get to the point of not being able to handle a 2-wheeled vehicle.  I think I might look for a nice used Spyder ( 1330 c.c. model ).

I put my endoscope in two of the spark plug holes and it wasn't a pretty sight.  Cylinder #1 had a lot of debris in it, a grainy metallic type coating on top of the piston, awful black blobs of stuff around the intake valves inside the cylinder, #2 was up, so not much I could see there other than some crud around the cylinder, #3 didn't get any look inside since the spark plug was really tight all the way up to the last few threads and then I couldn't get it to come out.  Wobbly and loose, just wouldn't com out of it's hole.  I'm guessing something impacted it and bent/damaged it on the bottom end preventing it from being removable.  It appears that things are a total mess in the engine.  So long to the most enjoyable motorcycle I've ever ridden and owned.  I'm thinking this is a fluke, since I don't know of another Trophy that has suffered this type of failure. :110:

Sounds like #1 and #2 cylinders are OK to me even after what you saw.

I would try to get #3 plug out - a helicoil can always repair the threads.  Or just pull the head.

If #3 piston isn't damaged ( that may be a stretch, but you won't know until you look at it ) I bet the cylinder head can be repaired.  Aluminum heads can be welded - it's done all the time. It sounds like a valve keeper failed ( maybe ).

I don't think I'll even remove the cam cover.  I should have taken a picture with my endoscope so I could show all the massive stuff in the #1 cylinder.  I've removed the fuse block and extra stuff I added to put all the equipment I liked having, and putting it back together with all the fasteners finger tight so it can be stripped down easily, and I'll sell it for salvage at whatever I can get.  I'm done.  I have a LOT of spare parts and a full major maintenance service kit that I'll be selling for whatever I can get for it.  I'll post all that once I've sorted it all and make it available for forum members if interested.  If no interest I'll try to sell it some other way.

Sorry to hear about this.  Being a 2013 model, there were issues like this in those models all the way into the 2015 year.  My 2015 was making a lot of noise and there was a kit that Triumph had released and it was installed under warranty.  My riding buddy who has a 2013 Tiger also had a catastrophic failure just like yours.  I can't recall the details of the head kit that was put on mine.
