Shoei Neotec 2 with Sena SRL2

I recently installed a Sena SRL-Mesh into a new Shoei Neotec 2 and I'm hoping that someone here can help me understand what the Mesh Intercom Button on the helmet's right side is for. I have read through the downloaded instructions multiple times and see no mention of this button. The instructions for pairing intercoms only reference using the center button which is the main control button on the helmet's left side and I do not know any other Sena owners locally so have not had the opportunity to experiment pairing intercoms. Can anyone shed some light as to this buttons function?

    Thanks

Intrigued by this I downloaded the User Manual.  :084:   :015:

While I didn't find it to be the most "user friendly" manual I've ever read,
it DOES explain the use(s) of that Mesh Intercom Button.  :169:

The "Mesh Intercom Button", like all the other buttons, has it's own little "Icon"
that is used throughout the Instruction Manual.

The Icons are all shown in an image on Page 8 :

Whenever you see that plain triangular shaped Icon, it indicates the Mesh Intercom Button should be pressed.

Have a look at Page 29 of the Instruction Manual, Section 6.2.2, Paragraph2 : Mesh Intercom Music Sharing, where
pressing the Mesh Intercom Button once will accept a request for Music Sharing sent by another Mesh Group Member.

There are numerous other references to using the Mesh Intercom button for other features and functions.

    Cheers  :821:

Thanks Coconut. Just now, before logging back onto the Forum, I checked Sena.com and realized I had downloaded the wrong user file. I now see how the mesh button will let me pair with other users, if I ever meet one. I spent a few days reading the wrong manual thinking I was just missing the mesh reference and really should have just asked you earlier, silly me.

    Thanks again, much appreciated!

I have the same helmet and same Sena comms equipment.  I was just about to ask you which manual you are looking at because mine is fairly clear.   But now I see you have found your problem...wrong manual  !   :152:

I really do feel rather stupid spending so much time reading the wrong user manual. I'm of older vintage and have always been used to finding relevant instructions in the box. I do not like reading instructions on screen and end up printing the download anyway which uses a lot more paper than would be required if the manufacturer printed a small booklet, one that could be carried on trips for quick reference.

Hopefully I'll manage to decipher all the instructions to successfully pair the unit to the Trophy so that I can access music and GPS. If not, I'll be back for help.

Sena used to include a hard copy of the owners manual and a small quick reference as well.  I have the quick reference for the 20S Evo in my Utopia backrest pouch to this day, and I still find a use for it occasionally.  Yeah, 76 is not playing all that well with technology. :087:

Success. Once I read the Sena instructions and then the Trophy audio manual on pairing, it all went smoothly. My phone, music and GPS all heard on the helmet speakers, which, while I've only listened while in the garage, sound really good. After using a wired Starcom unit for 18 years, I suspect this will be quite an upgrade.

    Thanks all.
