Bike upgrade

Got a nice email from Triumph yesterday, offering me £500 of free clothing or accessories if I up grade my Triumph, how the f¢¶k can I when they don't make the Trophy any more.
Do Triumph assume that I want a different machine to the Trophy, the only other shaft drive they build is the Tiger 1200, why would I want to spend my money on a bike that doesn't have decent weather protection or a radio, can't over.

Because they care about their income, not about the owners of rare beasts?
I totally agree with you, why would someone swap the Trophy, unless he can´t keep it anymore due to personal reasons?

I got the same email, and regularly get others - because I'm on their mailing list.

I usually delete that kind of message without reading through all of it,
and only stay on the mailing list in case anything "interesting" is promoted !

I was in the local Triumph dealer a few weeks ago.  They were offering $1000 off plus free panniers on 1200 Tigers.  I sat on a GT Explorer.  To my surprise I had no trouble putting my feet on the ground and was very comfortable.  I love my Trophy but the Tiger is a nice upgrade in electronics and suspension.  As for the radio on my Trophy, the Sirius and FM are terrible. I let my Sirius subscription expire.  The bluetooth will not maintain a connection to my Cardo headset.  In reality I'm not using the Trophy radio.  I'm using my phone music with Sirius streaming, maybe Zumo and the Cardo has FM built in, which I don't use.  The only thing I have on the bike audio is an ipod which I might use occasionally.  That same music and playlists are also on my phone.   If I was to some day upgrade to another Triumph I would have to become a dual sport poser.

Because some bikes without those are actually very fun! I have been considering trying to change from my '13 Trophy in blue. My list includes, Ducati Multistrada, or the Monster, or a KTM, or a Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello, or another Tiger (had an '06), or maybe...

I agree the Trophy has good weather protection, and the radio is good. I usually stream my phone through it. The weather radio is helpful.

Now, if I can get my wife to approve this...
