    Kudos to R&G

About four or five years ago I bought a set of R&G crash bars.  I never got around to installing them until a few weeks ago.  The left side assembly that attaches to the upper motor mount just didn't want to fit.  I finally gave up and emailed R&G.  They asked for some pictures of the offending part and determined that there had been a manufacturing error.  Carl Gold, their customer service rep, immediately sent a replacement part via DHL Express.  He sent it from England on Friday and it arrived on Monday, Labor Day here in the US.  Yes, it fits.

I've always found R & G to be superb with their Customer Service.

There was an issue with some of the earlier Trophy bikes that had a modification
to the Centre Stand, with the addition of a strengthening support bracket.

That Bracket was attached to the lower Engine mount where the R & G Bars also attach,
and meant that the original engine bolt was now a fraction too short to be re-used and
still pass fully through both sides of R & G Bar and the additional Support Bracket.

When I notified R & G of this they immediately produced a longer threaded bar to replace the
original lower engine bolt, included these in all new kits sold, updated the installation instructions
and offered to send the new threaded bar to anyone that needed it as a result of the Triumph modification.

    Cheers  :821:

I can go one better.   I bought an electric starter to install on my BSA Rocket Three in 2009 from Dave Madigan in the USA.  I came to fit it a few weeks ago (I get distracted  :008: ).  It would turn but not engage so I suspected the solenoid.  No problem, says Dave (I was honest about when I bought it) and said he would send one FOC.  Upon further investigation I realised I had ordered  a negative earth starter instead of positive earth, but was able to rectify this by moving the magnets around by one slot.  Nevertheless, the gesture to replace the solenoid if faulty, after 14 years sitting in a box in my garage had been made!
