Coming off a thunderbird storm, this bike took some adjustment due to seat height and top heavy feel.  The answer for me was a pair of River Road Field Boots.  These things are great, comfortable, nice thick soles with an almost 2" heel.  Even with my 29" inseam I can plant both feet at a stop and feel much more in control.

Thanks for sharing, I too am in the vertically challenged riders club.  I'll have to look them up.

I have a rear low profile tyre that helps. I also bought new boots with a thicker sole.
