The cost for the first service was only $125. That's a lot less than any bike I've in a long time.

Mine was probably more in the range of $150, but $100 (USD) of that cost I'll be able to amortize over the life of the bike, because it was the cost of the dealer tool to handle the electronic portion of the service.

I prefer to do my own maintenance, so it was $50 in expendable materials (oil and filter) and $100 for the tool. When I do my second maintenance at 10000 miles, that cost for the tool will go down to $50 for that service, plus $45 for oil and filter.

I got the first service included with the bike purchase.

Are you loving the bike? I certainly am!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

That's way too much for an oil change! Mine was $250, still way too much. Why is there such a difference between dealerships?
