10k service for US Trophy
« on: October 16, 2013, 08:20:16 PM »
My Trophy is fast approaching the 10000 mile mark.  I haven't checked with my dealer yet, but was curious if any other Trophy owners here in the states have had their 10k service done.  And, if so, how much did it cost ?
I'm going to need new tires too.  $$$  :005:  $$$

From the UK side mine was about £300 - £400 I think (paperwork is at home). I am sure the whole bill was in the £600-£700 ballpark figure as I had a set of PR3s fitted.

I checked with my local dealer.  They tell me that Triumph says the 10k service is an 8 hour job.  So, for all that that involves, I should be looking at around $750-800.  Oh, and I noticed my rear tire is showing the chords.  That's another few hundred for a new set of tires.  I'm gonna have to save up for a bit.  That's a lot of money to put out at one time.

folks see my post for the TPS failure.   There is a big difference in 10K and 10000 mile. I believe the service interval is 10,000mile. uk

correct me if I am wrong

I'm not sure about elsewhere in the the world, but in the US the letter "k" after a number usually indicates the unit of a thousand.  So, 10k is 10000, and so on.

Ah but with a global forum are we talking 10 thousand miles or 10 thousand kilometres?

Very good point.  I'll be more specific when I use that again.
