Should be picking up the Trophy on 16 November
« on: November 08, 2013, 10:47:46 am »
It looks like the Trophy will be ready on 16 November.  Not all extras may be in but I can live with that.  The ST1100 registration runs out the following week, and there is a Honda ST ride on 17 November.  While I would like to just ride the Trophy, I feel like the old bike needs some sort of final ride (for the moment - I can register it for 3 months every 12 months).

I know it seems overly sentimental, but I can't just let the ST not have a final run, as I might not run it again for 9 months or more.  I should have done two rides over the last 2 weekends, probably 6,000kms or more, but I have had a virus so am just sitting at home recovering.

Anyway, I am about to become a real time member here!

:460: congratulations, wish you as much fun with the Trophy than you have had with the ST. I know what you are going through (had a ST before the Trophy)

I hope you get over the virus to properly enjoy the TT.

I hope also that the virus is not the normal pining while having to wait for a TT.  I seem to get a strange illness when not out on the TT especially if I am at work looking out at bright sunshine.

I went for a few extras, as you only live once. Touring screen, GPS mount, grips of course for riding around here in winter, heated low rider seat, topbox, front mudguard extension.  I am thinking about the R&G tip over bars for fitting later.

All of these things are what I use on the current bike, so may as well just do it to start with...will fit a CB radio to integrate in with the audio bluetooth system, but that can wait for a bit.
