Indicentally, are Huggers weather machines? It hasn't rained a drop since I fitted mine!!  :001:

Will order one tonight, just so it does not rain when we go on our 1st tour in July

I just bought the Powerbronze hugger.  I had the same prob as Bluepilot, but before having read these posts, I contacted Powerbronze Aust. who in turn contacted Powerbronze UK.  They were surprised and not aware that that there was a prob.  No wonder, you guys did the fix yourselves so they are still manufacturing the bracket not exactly right.

I will try bending the bracket as did Bluepilot.

I am getting one soon. I also ordered a rear fender mudflat for a Goldwing. I measure and it looks like its going to fit. I plan to put a sticker to cover the Goldwing insignia. There are others in this eBay store.

If you check the modifications forum there are part numbers and such for the Triumph rear mudguard extender. Well worth it!

Part number is T2304609

As mentioned over on the other Thread, there was some suggestion that Triumph
might be including this part on new bikes, so if you're in the process of buying one
it might already be fitted - or if not then it's worth asking about  :028:

They DO keep a lot of the spray down around the back end  :169:

Ok. Today I got absolutely filthy weather for about 300k out of a 535k trip. Looking at the bike afterwards,  it was dirty, as one would expect, but seemed not as dirty at the rear as previously. So I think the hugger does help overall and not just at the rear shock area. I'll still try a mudflap and covering in the sides of the rear wheel somehow.

You could fit a bathtub from an old Triumph! :745:

Frosty

Got it from Powerbronze P/L (in Hastings Vic). Mobile: 0430 535 719  e-mail: info@powerbronze.com.au

BTW, I still haven't had time to refit the hugger, and try to bend the bracket so it hugger bolts don't scrap the tire - just has some on this Forum have had to do.
