    New Trophy owner in Oregon

    Hello All
My names Brian. Just picked up a brand new blue Trophy from Latus Harley Davidson/Triumph here in Gladstone Or.. Thanks to Slim Dave for getting me all set up. Im coming off a Yamaha Super Tenere, which was an awesome bike. Loved it. I was really on the fence between the Triumph, and the BMW. But service, price, features, and also the fact my dealership is about 5 mins. from home all led me to the Trophy. Did about a 10 mile test ride, and was sold. Those test rides are ALWAYS expensive for me!
She's got the tall seat, and the first farkle is the new Zumo 390. This will be my daily driver, so Im hoping for a happy marriage.
My first long trip will be in April, down the Cali coast Hwy 1, and to Arizona.
Well, I hope to meet some of you in my travels.
    Later on
    Brian

Hi Brain and  :400:  to the Club !

Have you researched that new Garmin Zumo 390 ?

The reason I ask is that although I know nothing about the 390,
the Trophy is all set up for the Zumo 660, in terms of mounting and connections ?

    Thanks for the Welcome
I learned about the 660 last night as I was pulling panels, and looking for power. I bought the 390 for the Tenere, and for the features. Right now I have the Garmin power tied into the battery tender plug, so its always hot. Im going to dig out the dedicated switched,GPS power once I crack into the dash a bit more. I'll be checking out the tech section a lot more.

Welcome to the group, Brian!  Good to see another left-coaster on the forum!  Let me know when you're heading out on that trip in April. I'm less than hour from the coast north of L.A.  I'd be happy to join you for a stretch!  Actually, I'd be happy to join you for the whole ride, but gotta work to support the habit...
