Soon To Be Owner (Soon is here!)
« on: December 06, 2013, 08:39:29 pm »
Looks like I'll have a new 2014 Pacific Blue Trophy SE in the garage very soon. The local dealer sent me a quote today which I accepted and that was very reasonable and very close to what I had expected. The bike has yet to be ridden by me or anyone else. I'm not concerned as that last 3 bikes that I've purchased were not ridden either. I have played with the communications stuff and am satisfied. I'll get used to the remaining features.

I'll go see the dealer tomorrow to finalize the deal and then its off to the bank to get some $$$$ from savings to pay for it. Can't get out today as the roads are awful with ice and snow, so I'll just take a nap and dream of riding in the mountains.

I've selected most of the available options, so the dealer has to get those in and installed along with a Zumo 660 I have to provide.

It's all coming together.

Have to think of a name for her.. just like my FJR that I named Black Beauty and the Concours I called Connie.

Congratulations! Let us know when you get it. You must be able to find a riding day now  and then in southern OHio.
I simply call mine "The Beast"
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Congratulations.  Might be hard to find a nice day over the next week.  Big problem is that even if the weather turns nice you are likely to be riding on roads that have been salted.

Congratulations on getting a deal together. The snow just means plenty of time for the dealership to fit all of your options for you!

Take note of all the advice on fitting a 660 to the bike, make sure they fit and secure the audio cable and perhaps run the inline fuse up behind the left mirror pod so you can easily change it if it blows!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

Well, she's mine. Still sitting at the dealer awaiting all of the optional equipment to be delivered and installed. Rode the 09 FJR down to the dealer yesterday to the dealer. Temp was 28 degrees F but my electrics kept me nice and cozy. Hated to see the FJR go, but I'm only allow one bike in the garage. Anxiously awaiting word from the dealer when she'll be ready to come home.

It's a blue bike.
It's well known, because it's Blue, it's masculine.
Therefore it should have a masculine type name.

Blue is the fasterist coloured motorbike ever.  :156:

Mine is called "RHINO"

Cos it know's how to charge down the road like a rhino.  :001:
