Hello From the San Fernando Valley in SOCAL
« on: December 16, 2013, 02:22:59 AM »
Current owner of a BMW K1200LT, we am looking for something lighter and interested in either a newish BMW RT or a new Trophy Triple for our 2-up long rides.
As with my Beemer I will perform all maintenance and repairs myself, with the exception of warranty work of course.
I haven't yet taken either bike for a test ride, kinda waiting for my job situation to stabilize first.

Hey!  A local guy!  I can't speak for the BMW, but there are plenty of others here that have, and almost all ended up with the Trophy.  I can say that I wouldn't trade mine for anything, regardless of any other opinions. You'll find that this is the premier forum for the Trophy, with lots of great information and very helpful people - your questions will get answered!  Good luck on your search, and feel free to ask away!  FYI, after searching several dealers, I ended up buying mine at the dealer in Brea. A bit of a drive, but they are serious about Triumphs there. My hometown dealer, not so much.

As said, there's LOADS of information here, but if there's anything specific you need to know,
and can't find the information by using the Search function, just ask away  :028:

Hi Zippy and welcome! By and large all huge advocates of the Trophy in here as you would expect and many converts from BMW, myself included!

Have a hunt around, lots of great stuff in here. Some more vocal opinions about problems and niggles but I think most will tell you overall the experience is a positive one!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧
