Okay, I took the plunge.
« on: December 18, 2013, 01:22:29 AM »
After a few months of investigating and studying different motorcycles and then lurking on this sight for the last month or so. I pulled the trigger on a 2014 blue Trophy. I think I got a decent deal and a decent trade price on my 04 1150RT. I will have to change my handle now. The blue ones are the fast ones right? Now if I can find a studded tire so I can get it home through the Ohio snow and ice  :001:

Congratulations! Have you taken possession yet? I'm still waiting on my blue one too. Should be bringing her home Thursday. The dealer is taking his time putting on all the accessories I wanted. The weather should be okay for the next two days in the Cincy/Dayton area. Hope yours is the same where you live.
Every day is a Saturday when you're retired!

Congrats on the new bike, well done.  I'm sure you can ask the dealer to help you turn the traction control on - which will no doubt be invaluable in the slipery conditions.

Wishing you a most enjoyable journey.
Always ride in control.

csquared I am in Chillicothe, Ohio. I bought mine in Columbus and they had to order my top box. No big hurry to get it home in this weather. I will probably trailer the Beemer up and the Trophy back home.
