:you need to make sure you are using a genuine Apple USB cord.  Lesser ones often don't work  even if they charge they still won't transmit the audio

Hi wingjack,

I agree with w8d4it - some of the cheaper cables will only charge the iPod but don't run audio,
and that is the most likely cause.

I managed to purchase a non genuine Apple cable for a lot less £££'s and mine DID work,
so it's very much trial and error - the best way to check is to find another Trophy owner,
or maybe your Dealer, who has a working connector and try it on your bike, then try your cable on their bike.

... or try a Genuine Apple connector cable and see if that works.

If you ARE using a genuine Apple connector, and still can't get audio,
then it is possible that there is a loose connection at the back of the USB port.

To access the back of the USB port, the glove box needs to be removed by undoing the two Hex bolts -
see the "How To" section and topic for "How to Remove the Fairing etc" for more information and Photo's of this.

I think it's always a good idea to read the instructions - IF they are available,
and then ask away on here if you can't find the answer  :169:

I must say that the Audio Handbook isn't the most "comprehendable" set of instructions I've ever read,
and am not surprised when questions get asked, when the answer is in the book - somewhere !

There's nothing in the handbook about using a genuine Apple connector cable,
which is why this Forum is invaluable in passing on such worldly wisdom  :028:
