Good afternoon and hi to all
« on: December 27, 2013, 01:23:46 PM »
Afternoon guys

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to you, although I've not purchased my Trophy yet and I am still looking I've joined because I have loads of questions and I want see if you have any problems or faults with your new bikes.

I'm 57 years old and live in Swindon, I've worked for the railways all my working life, and now I'm a signalman in the new signal centre at Didcot, I've ridden bikes all my life for the last 40 years, ever since my dad brought my first bike home, a BSA (C15) 250 which I learnt to ride up and down the road outside our house (no helmet, no safety gear, just jeans and an old motorcycle jacket dad lent me :-) I then swapped that for a BSA (A10) 350 and then onto the Jap bikes of  the time before settling down with a Kawasaki Z650, then married life kicked in and the wife and two kids came first then I got hold of a old  Honda and off I went again.

over the last 10 years or so Ive owned a number of cruisers (3 different Victory's, Honda VTX 1800) a BMW K1200GT SE, and now my current bike which is the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 which I am enjoying but since the Trophy came out I've developed a real interest in this new bike.

so thats me, I hope to chat and have questions answered before taking the plunge.

welcome aboard  :400: I've only one suggestion: book a test ride with a dealer nearby and the decision will be an easy one!  :821:

Welcome!
Don't do a test ride on the Trophy unless you're prepared to purchase one!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

:400: to the forum.  I think you will like the trophy after seeing the bike you have own, it is a very good touring bike and handle well around town also.
