Yo for Sunny Suffolk UK
« on: January 08, 2014, 12:18:55 pm »
Well as I type my Blue SE is being unpacked, options added TopBox, SatNav prep, Paint Protection, Heated Grips.

PDI'd Friday ready to pick up Saturday morning from Lings Triumph, Ipswich, Suffolk UK. Off on a quick blast Sunday morning down to the Smoke for a charity run, visiting, Tower Bridge, ACE Café and London Motorcycle Museum, so that should shake out the gremlins.

Had an awful year and 11,000 miles on the new BMW R1200GS LC, after six months and 7500 miles it was replaced and cant say the replacement one is any better hayho that's another story, sadly after nine BMW's I will never ever buy another!

I imported my first Hinckley Triumph a Trophy 1200 when they were only on sale in Germany way back in 1992 ish?

Had a series of Meriden and then Hinckley Triumphs (Trophy, Tiger 900, Thunderbird, Thruxton, Speed Triple, Tiger 800).

I'm a bit of a serial Motorcyclist this is bike number 61 eaK!, currently have four others in the garage, I've been continually riding since the early seventies first bike a Raleigh Runabout then a 1969 BSA Bantam, passed my test Aug 8th 1971 at 2 pm and picked up a 1971 Triumph Daytona. :-)

My Dad bike is a 1944 Matchless EX WD 350, (same as my dad rode in Egypt during the war) sadly I only got it going a few months ago and my dad passed away just after I rode it up the road for the first time.

I also have: -
A 1971 Triumph Daytona that I've rebuilt form ground up,
A 1971 Yamaha YR5 350 that's also nearly concourse,

And a Honda CRF250L, I'm off to Zambia in April riding 1000k off road for the Riders for Health charity. hence the CRF I try to get out as much as I can building up strength and confidence for our Trip.

Well that's me a 58 year old retired old git and a bike nut from Suffolk UK, morning All.
