Concerning... I have several thousand miles with fully laden panniers but not noticed anything like that!

I will take a look at the weekend!

Took a look at mine today, they are OK at 8000 miles, about 1/2 fully packed for travel and camping,  but a worry for sure!!!   Something to check very very often.  I cannot believe they are not metal reinforced!!!!   I suppose the hooks on the bags themselves are the same stuff and could also fail...

Very strange. I have overloaded the panniers on several occasions with work tools, cast iron tractor parts, (wrapped in a towel of course)Is it possible you are NOT engaging the lower forward support arm into the pannier pocket? Or the arm is missing from your frame? Hanging the pannier on the hanger brackets alone would cause a lot of stress on those hangers, especially since the bag is not properly positioned or supported. I took a photo, but i don't know how to include it!! help???

just click on "attachments and other option" below the frame where you write your post, go down to the section "attach", select your picture from your computer and insert its address in the window

Can't attach the panniers without hooking into that lower support.  I'll try to send a better picture showing how poor the plastic casting is, large voids can be seen right where the highest stress would be on the bracket.

Hi,

Mineís broken too now after a bash to the pannier last week. Iíve tried 3 types of glue but no use. Iím going for the 20,000 mile service this weekend so Iíll ask Triumph but any advice much appreciated.

Iíve tried to find the entire part on bikebandit but no luck.

Thanks,

Richard
