Deals to be had on standard bikes in the uk
« on: January 20, 2014, 12:06:12 pm »
If anyone is undecided about buying a new standard trophy in the U.K. at the moment then have a quick search on mcn or biketrader, as the standard bike has been discontinued and dealers are offering some cracking deals. I have just ordered a standard bike bedecked with R and G crash protection for £10,500 on the road.
Ok it's an early build bike and will need the head recall but having spoken to my dealer and triumph customer services it sounds pretty painless, they will collect and deliver my bike while leaving me a bike to use. So my advice is be bold and ask for a deal.

Sounds like a good bargain, and I know there a few members who, given the choice,
would prefer the Standard model over all the Bells & Whistles on the SE !

You could always use this non SE brand spanker from Jack Lilley for £10499 as a bargaining tool - you could even mention that it's got full R&G crash protection.

Heavily discounted as it's that unfancied blue colour

Yes - seems as though they're still about. This one was from a couple of months ago from Jack Lilley

Serves you right, you'll know next time

Seriously though, welcome to the clan, and congratulations on getting yourself a right bargain - well done

Apparently so. I do know however, that next week there will be a nice Blue one for sale at a garage in South End.  :745:
