Misc pics from the shop
« on: February 06, 2013, 05:57:25 PM »
Original problem- bike died on side of highway.  Solution- replaced battery, then alternator.
Second problem- lost fuel gauge.  Turned on cruise control, fuel gauge came back.  Turned off CC, lost fuel gauge. Triumphs solution- replace battery- didn't work.  Replaced fuel sending unit, didn't work.
In the mean time, various issues with radio working/not working, screen getting stuck, heated seats/grips indicators not working.

Currently in the shop to try and resolve electrical issues, they have swapped out the following without any luck:

Dash
Computer
Yet another battery.

Updating the ECU has made the radio/windscreen function reliably, just down to fuel gauge and indicators.

Here is a comparison of the 2 wind screens.

I'm getting there.  It's becoming more apparent that nobody from Triumph monitors either this page, or the RAT page, as I still can't get a phone call returned.  $22k doesn't buy any service from Triumph, that's for sure.

I just confirmed on the phone with Pete Carleo of Triumph USA that they do not monitor these sites.

Apparently, he didn't get back to the factory until late yesterday and was just behind on returning calls, so it wasn't a case of blowing me off.

Hopefully, they're going to make this right.

And when they did initiate the site they probably had big grins on their faces as the first Trophy rolled of the line with their sites set on dethroning BMW ...
Not sorry I purchased the Trophy , not yet as I haven't put one K on it , just sad re the attention to the occurring problems ....!!!! :157:
