Seth Laam Heated Seat
« on: January 27, 2014, 06:12:44 PM »
I have ordered the heated seat from Seth Laam.  Anyone had experience with hooking up the electrical part of the seat.  I find no fuse location in the fuse box.  There is a plug to the rear of the fuse box.  Is this the hookup for the Triumph heated seats?  Thanks for any help.

Hi jugbelly,

Hopefully the attached Photo's will help ...

1. Front Switch location
2. Rear Switch location
3. Connection socket location for Front and rear Heated seats
4. Connection sockets / plugs at rear of Fuse box on left hand side -
The wiring loom from the heated Seat connectors appears to run to these connectors,
but I have not delved any further to confirm this, or which fuse supplies power to them.

It does seem a little strange that the Owners Manual does not identify which fuse covers the Heated Seats  :084:

Thanks Coconut.  The picture of the plug connection by the fuse box is the one.  I should be able to connect there.  Thanks again.

hi Jugbelly

Having just removed mine I can tell you that the connections are all there (great photos Coconut) but you will need the switch as well as the seat.

Hi again,

I've managed to dig out the Fitting instructions for the Triump Trophy Heated Seats installation,
which should give you all the information you need here : Heated Seat kits A9708259, A9708276 and A9708260

The fitting instructions state "The fuse number 1 of the front fuse box protects the heated seat circuit."  :028:
