Hello all from Pennsylvania-

Hello all from Pennsylvania-

I am a new member of this forum group, owned a 2007 Yamaha Royal Star Venture Bike in Black/Blue color, I had always wanted a sport touring bike for a long time. I have looked at BWM, Yamaha FJR1300, Honda ST1300, and Kawasaki Concours for the last few years and was not impressed with the demo rides as well.

Had my Yamaha Venture serviced and tires replaced where the blue Trophy has caught my eyes on the floor, the salesman encouraged me to sit on the bike as I had no plan on purchasing a new bike at that time. I told the salesman why I was here and wanted to know what the trade in deal would be for my Venture bike. Nonetheless, couldn’t resist the trade deal and now a proud owner of 2013 Trophy SE beautiful blue color in August of 2013 with no regrets.

I rode the bike to Illinois from Pennsylvania and back without any problem. Never had a problem until last week I observed small amount of coolant puddle in the driveway. Took the bike in the shop to learn the upper hose clamp was not tight enough. Service bulletin shows for the ECM so it’s being replaced at this time..

I look forward to the new adventures as I can say I love the ride with no regret! The only downsize of my complaint is the mirrors with limited vision on my surrounding rear end when a carrying passenger or luggage sitting on the seat.

If you're ever in Kennett Square, stop in and see my daughter and son-in-law. If you're ever in Raleigh, NC  stop in and see My wife and I! Welcome to the Forum and let me tell you, that fat-bottom-girl you just bought just doesn't know that she has no business flying through the tail of the dragon as well as she does!!! Hi there and  :400:  to the Club !

There have been discussions on adding extra mirrors to the Trophy,
using the mounting points on the front brake and clutch reservoirs,
Have a look here : Mirrors

You might find this topic useful too, if you come across any more niggles,
HOW TO : Check the most common faults and issues which,
amongst other things, mentions the problem of Coolant hoses leaking,

and this topic : HOW TO : Remove the Fairing ....  … if you haven't already worked out
how it comes off - to get at everything underneath !

My main riding buddy here in Reno rides a 2010  RSV (Real Stupid<or many other words can be used here for the "S"> <g> Venture, as I joke with him). I keep on kidding him about his Venture, as I have the real true Venture that is NOTHING like the RSV, IMO. I also tell him he should trade his RSV in for a TTSE, but he is hard to convince. He says RSV stands for "Real Superior Venture",  of course.

BTW, are you from the Venture Forum here?

There are several in that forum from PA. I met the president of the Venture forum while in Gettysburg (but we stayed in a RV Park  in Carlisle) last September.
