Anyone have the 20K  service performed yet and what did it cost you?

My service department said $680 if the valves are unchanged.

I don't intend to find out.  When I had the tank, TPS, ECU and head replaced (which takes care of valve adjustment, I asked the dealer to replace the air filter as well.  All the other elements of the 20k service are easy enough to handle.

At the time of purchase, I was given a price somewhere north of $900.  :114:
As I've only put a bit over 5,000 miles so far, I have a while before I need to worry about that expense!

I was just quoted $850 for a 40K ( same as 20K )...  That's an increase of about 250 since I had the 20K done last year!!!!

I normally do the work myself, but difficulty getting parts ( shims as it's very very pricey to get an assortment, and takes days to get the ones you need ( IF you can get them at all??)), plus I really don't want to pull the cams if I don't have to.

But 850???  That's 5% the cost of the bike!!!

So, I'll defer it until late September, when riding season up here starts to think about shutting down, tear her down, and if parts are an issue I have another bike to ride...
