I think this is likely the same as the ECU recall.

Hi BigBird,

As w8d4it says - this is likely to be the same as the "ECM" ( Engine Control Module ) Replacement recall,
but just to clarify, could you post a scanned copy of the recall notice you just got,
or if it was a phone call, could you ask them to provide the actual title of the Recall Notice,
and any Recall Notice numbers that help to specifically identify it ?

Cheers  :821:

I got a phone call from the dealer about the recall so I have no paper work . Call again and was told it was a recall on the ECU  not the OBC . Dealer said a couple of bikes were affected so Triumph is replacing all of the ECU ,was told about two hours to install. Does this sound correct.

Just paid deposit for new Trophy and the dealer informed me that the ECU will be changed as part of a recall so sounds genuine.

bigbird,

Yes that's correct !

Most of the 2 hours is taken up with removing the various panels
to get at the ECM which is mounted the headlamp,
programming it to the bike, then putting it all back together again.

Big Bird
I noticed in one of your posts that you bought from Hermy's. I have bought a few bikes from them and consider them to be a great dealership. I just dropped off my Trophy there for the center stand and ECM recalls. They also determined that they would doing the TSB for the head. FYI.
