TPMS fault following ECU replacement
« on: February 07, 2014, 04:39:15 pm »
Picked my Trophy up today following the ECU replacement, and the TPMS doesn't work. The TPMS red light came on and the display said something like "TPMS fault - check manual". Took the bike back to the dealers, and they're mystified. They've (re)paired the TPMS, redone the tune, and all to no avail. They've contacted Triumph who say it must be the transponders, so they've ordered some new ones under warranty.

Seems odd that both transponders have failed at the same time, just as the ECU is replaced, but who am I to argue? Has anyone else had the same issue, I wonder?

it is probably a pairing issue.... the ECU probably hasn't had the TPMS logged into it so it doesn't know they are there or can't read them... many of our bikes features... such as TPMS, cruise control, heated grips need to be set up in the bike systems to register... take it to the dealer... should be a quickish fix
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

Thanks for the reply - the dealers reckon they've reset the TPMS twice today, so it remains a mystery until they have a go with the new transponders next week

Wouldn't one sensor malfunctioning light the warning light?

If the codes don't match, that might set them off! Maybe front and rear codes wrong way round? Just a thought!

:180:Same with me. Collected bike Friday with all recall items (plus new front disks and pads to eliminate pulsing) done in one go. I was happy about that until Sunday. Revs went mad and I had to turn home after about 15 miles. On the way I got a flashing temp gauge, flashing yellow & red lights and a temp warning notice. Bike is being trailered back to dealer on Thursday. I'm not pleased.
