anyone noticed any gaps at the back of the panniers
« on: February 09, 2014, 07:57:40 pm »
hi all

I was waxing my bike today and noticed when I was cleaning the panniers
at the very back where the black plastic meets the painted panel

its seems the painted cover is coming apart from the internal pannier
I guess you could say the painted lid of the pannier
has gaps at the back of the bike

not flush to the inner panel I can put my finger in the gap shine a torch
and see inside the painted cover

just wondered if any of you guys or girls
have seen this as well , I must admit I've only just noticed it , the bikes done 5000 miles and its a 2013 plate

trip to the dealer I think ??

Certainly not right. Can't be waterproof.  I know that after 10000 mine are tight as a drum

This happened on our Sprint GT. The screws may have backed out. But yes take it in and let the dealer mess with it. I did ours but all the while was worried I might break the plastic color covers.
