Biker Friendly Hotels in the Lake District
« on: February 09, 2014, 08:30:13 pm »
Wondered if anyone can recommend a good place? Six of us going up to Scotland in June, and looking for somewhere to stop over on the way. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi Venom, Not been there myself but there is a hotel just off the motorway at the Penrith (junction 40) turn off. Don't know how bike friendly but literally just off the Motorway.
Called the North Lakes Hotel.

We have a caravan in the Lakes on the coast but don't use hotels I'm afraid.

Cheers
Dave.
Trust me......
I ride a Triumph.

Hi Venom do not want to appear being a pain but don't you think this thread would be better placed in either the "Ride Reports and Touring" or "Events, Meetings and Ride Outs" sections of this Forum?

You're right Verdun - couldn't decide which to go for, so went for the miscellaneous "chat" - we're sorted now, found a good one in Sedburgh in the Yorkshire Dales instead
