Hi KaliforniaKook,
I don't fully understand all of your message !
I think you might be getting your Software Versions confused ?
When you display the Software Versions on your Instrument Panel there are TWO entries.
One is for RADIO SW, the other is for BB SW.
To check this on your Trophy, Turn the Ignition ON,
and make sure the Radio is OFF by pressing the Volume Down button
repeatedly until it says RADIO OFF.
Turn the Ignition OFF, and then back ON - wait until RADIO OFF is displayed,
then press and hold the "P" Button to get the Diagnostics screen, and select S/W Version.
It gives two lines of information, mine ( 2017 UK ) says :
"RADIO SW 1.04A"
"BB SW 0.17A"
The latest US RADIO Software version is
1.04EIGNORE the "BB SW 0.17A" -
this was not updated with the software update,
and was not the cause of the battery drain issue.
RADIO SW Version 1.04E was released to resolve the problem of the US & Canadian
versions of the Audio module equipped with XM Radio, that did not shut down fully
when the Ignition was switched OFF, and caused the main Battery to drain.
If you have RADIO SW 1.04E then that is what you should have.
If it still says 1.04A, then the Dealer did not carry out the Update correctly.
After having the correct software update, there can still be problems if the battery
was damaged by it being drained to such a low voltage.
Despite being recharged, the battery may never be able to hold a full charge again,
ind would need to be replaced with a new one.
I hope that helps to explain !
