Considering a 2013 TTSE
« on: February 22, 2014, 02:44:54 am »
The dilemma;

Considering  buying a 2013 TTSE from a local dealer for 18000 out the door.  Lot of green for an unproven to me bike.. Coming from a R1150RT and wondering, based on everyone's experience, is this a fair buy on a new 2013.  From AZ so taxes are 8%  and with license sell price comes out to be around 16XXX.  Good or no good?  Advice...  BTW love the bike.  JMTCW, better than the BMW I was considering.

 :401: to the forum. I like you was in two minds hence the "do i or don't I" thread. Coconut said it all really. After the test ride it was sold to the man with a big cheesy grin on his stupid face. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum. :400:  I am a die hard Triumph fan, been riding Triumph for more than 40 years.  I do like my Trophy but I don't have the unconditional love I had for it when I bought it.  I put 10,000 miles on my Trophy in 7 months.  Then things started to go wrong with it.  It has been in the shop most of the last 4 months getting recall and TSB work done on it.  Lots of waiting for parts.  To be fair I didn't mind so much because business has kept me away from home much of those 4 months so I couldn't have ridden it much anyway.  But if I had been at home I would have been rather upset.  By comparison I have a 2001 Triumph Sprint 955ST with 40,000 miles on it and other than routine maintenance have never had to do anything to it.  So yes the Trophy is a good bike, but it isn't perfect.
