New Trophy
« on: February 11, 2013, 12:23:27 AM »
Ok Guys and Girls,

I have been riding for more years than I care to remember. This last fall when the Trophy was announced some how it wound up in my email, and I looked at it.
Well, for one reason or another I got to looking at the Tex, demo rode it twice and for what ever reason it just does not 'fit'. The Trophy fits like a glove.
I know I can make the Tex fit but....do I want to? Really off road?

Yeah I know what you mean.

Anyway I was looking at options tonight and I was curious does anyone know of a passenger backrest? I did not see one listed in the options and Im not really interested in a top box. Girlfriend says she dont use it but I feel better if its there.

Anybody know of anything?

There is a backrest pad that fits on the top box. http://www.triumphinstructions.com/ProdDocs/A9500506-EN.pdf

I might get one of those back rests.  I find myself kicking that part of the top box when mounting the bike.  I knew the clearance on mt GTR1400 and it appears it will take me a while to adapt to the Trophy.  Either that or I am just too lazy.

I've been looking for a back rest to fit when the box is removed. Not found any thing yet :157:

I'm looking into having something engineered so the camping gear can be applied when reqired :087:

Yeah, its a new bike. I didn't really think anything would be out yet but I wanted to make sure there was something out there that I didn't know about.

I appreciate all the info.

Thanks
