Hi from the Welsh Marches
« on: March 08, 2014, 12:08:53 pm »
Took delivery of the Trophy last Tuesday from Pidcock's and to avoid motorways on the way back went via Ashbourne, Buxton, Cat and Fiddle, Congelton, Nantwich then Oswestry and the bike stood up well to the twisties and was comfortable as being 6'4" I do struggle on some bikes.
My only complaint about the bike is the transmission whine a couple of friends have ridden it and say its ok but to me it's all I hear that and not the radio.

Hi Tc, and  :400:  to the Club !

Can't say that transmission whine is a problem for me,
but then my hearing's not what it used to be either !

Have you had the first ( 500 miles ) service done yet ?

They change the oil in the final drive at that time, but not on subsequent services.
so it is important to make sure it gets done !

You may notice a redction in whine after that oil change,
and also after everything has been run in properly  :028:

Enjoy  :152:

Welcome to the forum, Tc!  I haven't had any whine either, nor have I read any complaints on our forum.  As Coconut said, wait until the 1st service is completed, then take up the issue with the dealer if it still exists.

Ride safe!   :152:

:400: to the forum!  Apparently the Trophy is a universal size - it also fits my vertically challenged 5' 7" frame.
