Front Brake Discs Warped
« on: March 09, 2014, 10:23:29 am »
Hi. Has anyone experienced any problems with the front brake discs warping. My TTSE has only done 8500 miles in total. Two and a half by me. Started to get a judder on the front brakes and when tested at dealer the discs are warped. Not something I would expect.

Sprints have a problem warping discs and the thought is that the bobbins that allow the disc to float sieze up.  I wonder if the tt is the same?  When I used to have original disc (changed them for ebc discs) I would often 'Spin' them to keep them free.

My discs were warped right from new. At first I thought that it was the new discs and pads needing to bed in. It never got any better or worse and is only under very light braking and work fine otherwise so I waited till the first service to mention it.
A1 Moto at York has confirmed the problem and there are no quibbles replacing them under warranty. Happy days  :152:

Had mine changed by the dealer who picked the fact up whilst doing her 1st years service   :110:
