Just a few thoughts following the first two days of my mini tour (Cheshire via Mid Wales to Chepstow; Chepstow via Dorchester & S Coats resorts to Torquay; Torquay over Exmoor and Dartmoor to Weston- Super- Mare; Weston via A429 & A51 to S Cheshire)
Riding the bike for a few hours and riding for a whole day are different - the TTSE makes longer spells much easier than my previous machines but tiredness is still sneaky
Riding with a fully loaded bike is different too- but the TES adjustment makes a worthwhile improvement (FWIW making the adjustment on the move caused a "Problem See Manual" message - cleared by stopping switching off (count to 30) switching on)
Parking up my previous bikes overnight caused me no worries, but leaving the TTSE in some locations makes me nervous- will someone get too close and scratch it? - parking on gentle slopes needs to be done with care - why do so many car parks have loose gravel??
Why does obeying a speed limit on a bike cause more stupid behaviour than the same in a car? (even though I saved the cage minder behind me from a ticket as he did not see the camera van!!!)
The time spent on fitting the sat nav mount was time well spent
Question - perhaps for friends in the SW on England - do you have M/C parking areas in towns - I have not found any so far. In most of Cheshire the view is that as M/Cycles cannot display a Pay and Display ticket they can park for free in special bays . Is Cheshire alone in this? I have seen special areas in Llandudno, Barmouth and Manchester but not so far in the SW - have I been looking in the wrong places?
