What is this and why is it unplugged?

it is a pin with a bunch of connections.  Should i be concerned?  If its not supposed to be plugged in, then riding in the rain will fry it!

that's the plug service people use to access your ecu. it slides into a male plastic spade on top of your battery. remove the upper right cover under your right side handlebar

i was observing the 500 mile service performed on my bike and also watched them load a new map for the ecu through that plug. you should tie wrap  the cable somewhere in that battery case so the next time it comes lose, it won't drop down so far, which is what i'm gonna do tonight
