Time for the wraps to go on!
« on: April 03, 2014, 10:28:25 am »
Hi all,

Just dropped my Trophy off at the vinyl graphics place for its wrap work to be done..

Can't wait to see the end result. Pearlescent main white bands edged with pinstripes of pearlescent silver and black with matching Trophy logos for the tank and the top box!

I have to admit the guy doing the job is a little concerned about all the contours around the tank so is doing a trial run first... Let's hope he can do the job!

More as the day progresses!

It supposedly will be all done today... Fingers crossed!

I suspect the bit going round the tank down to the front radiator inlet might prove taxing for them.... But he said he likes a challenge!

I will try and upload progress pics as we go today if I can!

Oh dear....

The contours of the bike have proved too much for the design I have in mind so back to the drawing board to try something different!

Ah well.... the personalisation story continues!

Cropbiker

I went to the Manchester bike show when home last. Interesting stand on cleaning products but they had a Victory Vegas in that had been "Dipped" amazing. So best of luck with your design. Whatever it is will be personal to you.

Thanks sea dog.... I have a few more ideas in mind.... stuff that will avoid all of the more complex contours..

It is strange, they said... it would be easier if they were wrapping the whole bike... but trying to apply graphics and keep straight lines on these contours is just really difficult.... would probably go through a lot of trial attempts and cost a fortune to get it right.

Well.... after yesterdays abortive attempts to have some graphics put on the bike I have gone back to the drawing board....

Here is my current thinking. Going to be pearlescent white, pearlescent black and thinking mirror chrome in between....

Any thoughts?

I will also have the following logo put along the top of the tank and across the back of the top box

Very nice, must say though it reminds me of something but off the top of my head can't think what  :087:

One thing isn't the new logo like this where the R carries on through the H ??
