Pirelli Tyre Spec for the Trophy
« on: April 24, 2014, 10:47:45 am »
Dear All

I have been speaking to Pirelli about tyres for the Trophy.  I currently still have the original tyre on the front and a GT on the back.  Both need changing, more for the shaping than the wear,  here are the recommendations from the tech bods at Pirelli for the Trophy.

Front-120/70ZR17M/CTL (58W) Angel GT-Part No-2387600- Tyre Pressure-36 Psi

Rear-190/55ZR17M/CTL (75W)(A) Angel GT-Part No-2361600- Tyre Pressure-42 Psi

Please Note- we do recommend both front and rear to be "A" spec A tyres specifically for your bike/model, unfortunately the front spec is still in development, and will be available later this year, as we do offer the Metzeler Version called the Roadtec Z8 Interacts which as as equally as good for your bike.[/i]

Just going down to the shops to buy a set!

Hi Seadog

That's why I looked in to it mate, thanks to you.  Pirelli have called again and the new A tyre is out next month, so I am going to hang on for a set.

By the way, going to speak to Ross about ROSPA!

make sure you get the "A" spec tyre for heavy tourers. I have "A" spec back tyre but as Ticketyboo mentioned they are also bringing out "A" spec front tyre.

I find them very good and to me give excellent feedback.

Tyres are a funny thing and everyone has different preferences.
