Heated seats problem.
« on: April 27, 2014, 09:21:48 pm »
Got a strange one going on!! :187:
Turn on the heated seats (front AND back are doing it!) onto setting number 1, after riding for about 10/15 mins or so the setting changes itself to number 2! :187: :187: :187: :187:

If you flick the switch back and forth it goes back to number 1 again but sure enough, after a little while it changes itself to 2 again!

Weird ................... or what?

When it switches to two on the indicator, does the seat really get hotter or is the error only in the indication?

No ................... it gets hotter!!

That's how I first noticed it ...... was just bumbling along when I thought "Wow, that's hot" and when I looked at the display I saw 2 bars showing!

I thought "What the ....?" and checked the switch, but it was till in the 1 position.

Service is due soon, so it's on the list of jobs to investigate.

Did you check the voltages on the switch while it was happening?

I have a theory!
The harder one clutches one's buttocks - the hotter the seat gets!
Try to avoid sharp corners and rapid acceleration and see if the seat keeps the same temperature.
