ecu and head work done

Got the bike back from youles of blackburn and the bike is great. The change isnt massive but it performs even better, sharper. Youles at blackburn cannot be recommended enough, a great company to deal with. Frojo

Mine back from Youles of Manchester today.

Yep agree massive change in smoothness and noise. Chuffed to bits BUT cruise control not functioning at all. DOH!!

So it will be back to Manchester when I get back from my hols.

Glad to hear but how disappointing many of these dealers are not checking their work with a final inspection... :174:

Final inspection is one thing but when I went to pick up my bike it would barely idle.  Despite telling me the bike was ready for pickup the dealer had not checked the tune or any other diagnostic after installing a new ECU and head.   As my ride had dropped me off at the dealer I had no alternative but to wait 2-3 hours while they screwed around with it.

Check out this thread to reset the cruise control, may save you a trip to the dealer.

Been away for a week but had a letter from Triumph detailing work done when I got back today.

As well as the recalls it has had a new rear final drive unit, new front brake disks and pads.  :046:

The final drive didn't seem to be corroded at all so that is a surprise but I did mention a front brake judder.

It will have to have the oil changed in the final drive in 500 miles time so I'll ask the dealer to check the cruise control at the same time.

Dave.
