electric screen works "most" of the time
« on: May 18, 2014, 06:49:38 pm »
Hello guys,
I have a question about the electric windscreen. It seems that much of the time it will NOT adjust while I am sitting still, but sometimes it does,  once I start moving it works just fine. Is this happening to anyone else?  am wondering if this is a normal thing? Just curious............thanks.

It SHOULD work moving and stationary. It may be very slightly out of alignment causing the anti trap to think something is in the way when it is not moving so it stops you but the pressure put on it by airflow when riding pushes things back into place and allows you to move it!

Mine has done the same thing since day one. I just keep messing with it until I get it where I want it. Sometimes it works just fine. I wish i didn't like this bike !!!!

I'd take it to the dealer while still under warranty.  As the others have said it should adjust at all time there is power to it.

Mine did exactly the same. I am not the only one who had this problem. The issue I am sure is the anti-trap mechanism. Mine had the screen motor changed but to no avail.

You would have thought Triumph would have sorted this by now.

Mine was working fine at first and then started to misbehave similarly though it  unfailingly moves up while driving so the anti-trap hypothesis sounds... sound!

Wow, that actually seems to make sense, i will try to maybe pull back on the screen whir stopped and see if that changes anything!
