A bit of nostalgia for UK Bikers
« on: May 21, 2014, 06:53:54 am »
Found this on Youtube. UK Bikers in the 60's wonderful film, and if you are interested there's a lot of these films in the "Take a look at life" series.

ENJOY!!!

Great video.  Don't have to be a British bike to enjoy this, just a lover of old British machines!

You are welcome Guys.

Here's another one which I liked on Scooters. (I used to have a Vespa Rally 180 and sold it a couple of years back)

Love the "chap" in the first film - the one combing the fringe on his saddle  :745:

Didn't I once read about some motorcycle gang riots in Brighton in the early 60s?  Mods vs Rockers or something like that.

Yes, there was a lot of trouble... Especially on holiday weekends back in the sixties..... Large groups of mods.... Scooter riders with parkas and sharp suits and mirrors EVERYWHERE.... Would meet up with large groups of rockers on real motorbikes and wearing leather would meet up and huge fights/riots would follow.... I believe some people were even killed!
