Hi from Calgary
« on: May 21, 2014, 06:50:40 pm »
Hi, new member, I just got a 2014 Trophy SE in blue a few days ago, it's a replacement (and a significant step up) for a Suzuki 650 V-Strom (lost when the building it was stored in went up in flames a couple of months ago).  Looking forward to checking the forums and comparing impressions.  So far, handling is great, very comfortable, gee that transmission sure clunks.
Mark

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum!  :400: have not been to Calgary for many years, used to go there a lot with the RAF! :001:

It's a great place with good people full of advice, support and comment on an AMAZING bike! You have made the right choice!

The search in here is a great tool and also in the HOW TO: section there are a number of really good threads started by a major contributor, coconut, detailing common issues and solutions plus things to look out for!

Enjoy your new ride,

Kevin

Hi Kevin - Thanks for the welcome.  FWIW my dad used to be in RCAF, latter part of WWII he was posted at a base in southern England flying Spitfires (not sure exactly where the airfield was, but he recalled flying over Stonehenge as a landmark).

Cheers,

Welcome duck tape. Easy name to remember as we use plenty of "duck tape" in the offshore diving industry.   :008:
Enjoy the bike. I am sure you will
