I said goodbye to the Trophy today
« on: June 04, 2014, 11:25:08 pm »
I never suffered any of the problems that others had, She started every morning, ran like thoroughbred, handled like she was on rails, the 1200 triple always sounded like sweet music..... and I just never grew to love her. I truly hoped my trip through Northern Cali would be a bonding experience, but it just didn't happen.
So today I picked up my new 2014 Tiger XC. Got the center stand and a set of K60's put on, Crashbars, and Wolfman bags are on the way, My Givi boxes will be mounted soon. I just like the buzz through the handlebars, wind hitting me, standing up on a gravel road... really missed the gravel roads. Since I can only have one bike, I needed to get one that scratched the most itches.
I have nothing but praise for the Trophy.....It wasn't her, it was me!
Good getting to know you guys. If your ever in Oregon stop by for a ride.
Ok, gotta go get that new bike stink washed off....
Later
Brian
I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

At least you  tried and found out what suits. I know few people with the Tiger XC and they love them.

Sorry to see you leave, but you got's to do what you got's to do!  We really enjoyed your well documented trip to Monterey, etc., as well as your other insight about the Northwest.  I bet we'd accept some gravel road features as well!  Stay safe!

Hi Brian... thanks for all the inputs.... in the ideal world we would all have a garage full of different bikes for our different moods.... but most of us live in the real world where we only have space and money for 1 and you have to make the best of that! Good luck!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

Bye Brian,
That's why I can't leave my KTM adventure alone !
Dust is like a drug  :020:
TKC, Wolfman, Garmin ...

Last Week with my wife, we visited the "Bourgogne", with 60% off road. A great week-end.
Lot of sun, excellent wine, and beautiful landscape.

Have fun, and ride safe ! The tiger XC is an amazing bike ! (but KTM's more fun)
