Changing tires and TPM
« on: June 05, 2014, 07:22:40 pm »
I change my own tires and have never had a bike with TPM system before.  Anything special involved?  Any tips?

just be careful around the valve stem area and be aware the tire has to clear that area, so make sure the bead is in the dish in the rim opposite the valve stem...

Yea, take it to the dealer. That way when they rip the tire monitor off, they get to replace it. Ask me how I know...

OK, the money I saved on changing my own tires now has to be spent on a new tire monitor.

Even the mechanics of an other motorcycle brand had problems when changing the TT tyre - and unfortunately they had to pay for a new TPM.
