New From Arizona and new to Triumph
« on: June 14, 2014, 05:48:04 pm »
Greetings from the Desert - Just wanted to drop by here and introduce myself. Been a lifetime motorcycle enthusiast and owned just about every brand but a Triumph. Rode the Trophy last weekend, and knew I had to ride it home.  :046:

Unfortunately the bike seems to be riddled with small problems (leaky fork seals, electrical glitches, and a radio that doesnt work) I'm hopeful I'm getting the problems out of the way early but so far unfortunately I don't have much confidence in my local dealer. Got to take a 400 mile ride the day after I got it and it was amazing unfortunately the dealer has had it since and still doesnt know why the radio is not working. I'm still hopeful!

Going to pick it up today and put some more miles on it without a radio unfortunately and return it to the dealer when the new radio unit arrives. I guess listening to the triple purr ain't such a bad thing!

Hi Americanthunder :400:

Great forum, with great people and lots of advice and support for your new ride.

Hang on in there... everything you mention are known little issues and there are fixes out there...

Once that is done you will forget all about them and just get out and enjoy it!

Welcome to the group - glad to have you aboard!  As Cropbiker said, most of the issues have been taken care of by the time the 2014s came out; many of us have had zero problems, just a few for others.  Once the dealer gets it all handled, you're never gonna want to get off that bike!

:400: Americanthunder, I too had the fork seal issue, but it was taken care of and no more problem with them.  As stated all the issues are pretty well known and easily remedied by a good dealer, and once it's done it's a great ride.
Enjoy!

Welcome.
A few of us have had minor glitches. My battery died within a month of purchase, but I've had no problems ever since. It is fun to ride, isn't it!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
